Problem Description
Note: This Field Notice is a legacy Latitude Field Notice that has been converted to the Cisco format so the information would remain available to their customers.
When running the SMTP gateway configured in a japanese environment, the notifications give garbles values for the fields Meeting Name, Meeting Description and frequency. In addition, for Netscape clients, a few garbled characters are appended to the end of an attachment.
Problem Symptoms
The three fields cannot be read.
Workaround/Solution
WORKAROUND
Ignore those 3 fields.
RESOLUTION

Download the MeetingPlace SMTP 4.2.1.25 hot fix from the Customer Support Resource Center.

Stop the MeetingPlace SMTP and Notification Gateway service.

Run the MeetingPlaceE-mailGateway.exe to install the new SMTP gateway.

Restart the gateway machine.
