Problem Description
Note: This Field Notice is a legacy Latitude Field Notice that has been converted to the Cisco format so the information would remain available to their customers.
If the SMTP server connection is broken, and the notification service is restarted, SMTP gateway stops sending out notifications abruptly.
Problem Symptoms
No notifications are sent out for meetings that are scheduled. This results in loss of valuable information.
Workaround/Solution

Download the MeetingPlace SMTP 4.2.1.23 hot fix from the Customer Support Resource Center.

Stop the MeetingPlace SMTP and Notification Gateway service.

Run the MeetingPlaceE-mailGateway.exe to install the new SMTP gateway.

Restart the gateway machine.
