Problem Description
Note: This Field Notice is a legacy Latitude Field Notice that has been converted to the Cisco format so the information would remain available to their customers.
If you install a new system disk in a conference server and run the setup command and option 1 to tell the Networked System that a new disk has been installed, for example on vp1, the Network Server will not re-populate the specified conference server with its conferences .
Problem Symptoms
When you launch MeetingTime and look for meetings on the new disk, on vp1 for example, you will get an error that the meet is not found.
Workaround/Solution
WORKAROUND

Load the ConfSchd module on ALL the conference servers

Restart the entire networked system

Rlogin to the appropriate vp - the one with the new disk

Type setup
tech$ setup
This program determines the basic personality of this unit.
Current unit class = VP
Current site class = LOCAL
Select the unit class:
1) MeetingPlace -- Standalone (SINGLE).
2) MeetingPlace -- Networked, home site (VP/LOCAL).
3) MeetingPlace -- Networked, remote site (VP/REMOTE).
4) Network Server (DB). 5) Shadow Network Server (SHADOW).
99) Quit.

Choose option 2 or 3 depending on where the conference server is located

Choose option 1 "It is new from the factory or contains no useful data. Wipe it clean."

Restart only this conference server

During the boot-up process you will see
"*** NOTE: Downloading the database from the network server."

Let the network server populate the database on the conference server. For internal CSC employees, the patch is located on i:\support\hotfixes\MP Server\4.3.0t-Cr17747
RESOLUTION
Fixed in the MeetingPlace 5.1 pci platform.
