Problem Description
Note: This Field Notice is a legacy Latitude Field Notice that has been converted to the Cisco format so the information would remain available to their customers.
Opening the floor of a lecture style meeting can cause a 5.0.0af system to restart if the following sequence of event occur:

The meeting consist of more then 25 attendees.

The meeting was brought to order.

Additional attendee join the meeting after the meeting was brought to order.

Open the floor at this point will cause ConfSchd to crash, create a core dump, and the system will restart.
Although there are no reported problem on the PCI system, but the same condition can result in undesirable behavior.
Problem Symptoms
On a 5.0.0af system, the restarts will terminate all calls in the system. On a PCI system, the impact is currently unknown.
Workaround/Solution
WORKAROUND
Do not open the floor for a Lecture style meeting with more then 25 participant.
RESOLUTION
A hot fix is available for 5.0.0af. Contact Cisco TAC if you need to have it applied. A hot fix for 4.3.0t should be available soon, contact CSC if you need it. This will be incorporated into the next release.
