Problem Description
Note: This Field Notice is a legacy Latitude Field Notice that has been converted to the Cisco format so the information would remain available to their customers.
When a user schedules a meeting MeetingPlace meeting with a subject line that is more then 17 characters, MeetingPlace will prompt the user with the following message:
MeetingPlace The text you entered in the brief description field is too long to be used as the name for a MeetingPlace meeting. Would you like to go back and shorten it to 17 characters or less so the full text will be used as the MeetingPlace name?
There are no problems when the user chooses "No". The confusion arises when the user chooses "Yes". The user will receive the following prompt message when they choose "Yes".
Unable to initialize connection data to MeetingPlace SDK
The message is harmless and can be disregarded.
Problem Symptoms
The prompt message is confusing.
Workaround/Solution
Fixed in 5.0.9 mail template hot fix built on 4/26/02. Fixes will also be incorporated in future mail templates.
