MeetingPlace for Outlook |
4.2.7.66 to 4.2.7.70 |
Problem Description
Note: This Field Notice is a legacy Latitude Field Notice that has been converted to the Cisco format so the information would remain available to their customers.
Note:?The following examples are for users scheduling from the Pacific Time zone but apply to all time zones that observe daylight saving time. Users scheduling from time zones that do not observe daylight savings time will not see this problem
PDT - Pacific Daylight Time (April 12, 2003 - Oct. 26, 2003) PST - Pacific Standard Time (Oct 26, 2003 - Apr 11, 2004)
Meetings scheduled from Outlook during PDT to occur during PST will be off by one hour on the MeetingPlace server. The meeting will be in the Outlook calendar at the correct time but the MeetingPlace meeting and the start time indicated in the body of the notification will be one hour earlier than expected.
Examples of meetings off by one hour:
-
For single meetings scheduled during PDT but occurring in PST, the MeetingPlace meeting will be off by one hour. That is, if the meeting were scheduled for 9pm in the Outlook calendar, it would actually occur at 8pm on the MeetingPlace server.
-
For a recurring meeting chain scheduled during PDT, if the initial occurrence of the chain happens during PST, then all meetings in the chain will be off by one hour. That is, if the meeting were scheduled for 9pm in the Outlook calendar, it would actually occur at 8pm on the MeetingPlace server.
Examples of meetings correctly scheduled:
-
For single meetings scheduled during PDT and occurring in PDT, the MeetingPlace meetings will be at the correct time as shown in the Outlook calendar and in the body of the notification.
-
For recurring meeting chains scheduled during PDT whose initial occurrence happens in PDT, the MeetingPlace meetings will be at the correct time as shown in the Outlook calendar and in the body of the notification.
Problem Symptoms
For all affected meetings in the calendar, there will be no corresponding MeetingPlace meeting at the appropriate time.
Workaround/Solution
Workaround:
After this hot fix has been applied, for all affected meetings, the scheduler will need to go to Outlook calendar to delete them then reschedule.
