Problem Description
Connections routed through the SRM-3T3 using Bulk Distribution may stay in a failed state after the T3 line recovers from the failure state.
Background
Following are the conditions that cause this problem to occur:

SRM line(s) go into alarm.
-
Channels getting bulk distribution from the SRM lines go into alarm.
-
SRM line alarms clear.
-
Channel alarms persist after SRM line alarm clears.
Problem Symptoms
The symptom was observed by maintenance staff and will appear in the MGX 8220 event log. Use the command dsplog.

Workaround/Solution
Workaround:
Issue the switchcc command and then reset the standby ASC.
Solution:
Upgrade the MGX 8220 to firmware version 4.1.06 or later or 5.0.11 or later. You can download these firmware upgrades from the Software Center (WAN Switching) on CCO.
