Problem Description
Any PIX Firewall on which version 4.4(3) software is present will continuously reboot. No other released versions of PIX Firewall are affected.

Background
Due to the software defect described in the bug ID above, any PIX Firewall on which version 4.4(3) software is present will continuously reboot. As a result, the software image is deferred.
Problem Symptoms
The following messages will be observed on the PIX console at boot time. Note that this example is only an excerpt; more messages will actually be present as the PIX continues to reboot.

Workaround/Solution
Re-install your previous release of PIX Firewall software until this issue has been resolved in version 4.4(4). Previous versions of PIX Software are available from the PIX download area on CCO.
Version 4.4(4) will be made available shortly. You can be notified of its release by placing CSCdp59021 in a "watch bin" via the BugNavigator Tool, available to registered CCO users.
