Problem Description
|
Cisco has discovered two problems with jitter on the OC-3 Ports of the PXM1-4-155.
- Excessive jitter caused by a Programmable Logic Device (PLD) mismatch on the OC-3 daughtercard attached to the PXM1. This affects some units that have part numbers beginning with 800-05086, but there is no way to identify which units are affected. Part numbers beginning with 800-05762 are not affected.
- Excessive jitter caused by a software bug when it configures the transmit clock.
|
Background
|
This problem was discovered in conformance testing to the GR-253 specification. |
Problem Symptoms
|
Cisco has not seen any problems with user traffic. |
Workaround/Solution
|
If excessive jitter is a problem in your network, implement both of the solutions below:
- Verify that all PXM1-4-155s have a part number beginning with 800-05762.
- Install PXM software version 1.1.12.
