Introduction
This document explains the procedure to exchange a Cisco Unity LPT dongle (or security key) with a USB dongle or vice versa. This is necessary when you receive a Cisco Unity system with a dongle that is not compatible with the server port.

Cisco Unity 3.x
The information in this document was created from the devices in a specific lab environment. All of the devices used in this document started with a cleared (default) configuration. If your network is live, make sure that you understand the potential impact of any command.

Problem
You ordered a Cisco Unity 3.x system and received an LPT dongle for a server with a USB port or vice versa.
Solution
Send an e-mail to unitykeyexchange@cisco.com with the subject "Exchange Unity LPT/USB dongle". Include this information to receive a USB dongle to replace the LPT dongle or vice versa.

The name and e-mail address of the person to contact with regard to the exchange.

The current Serial Number (SN) and color of the dongle.

The Sales Order number (SO#).

The customer name, address, telephone number, contact person, and e-mail address.

The shipping address, contact name, and telephone number, if different from the above.

The reason for the exchange.

The expected date to return the other dongle.
