Announcement for the Cisco Secure VPN Client
Cisco Systems® announces the end of life of the Cisco® Secure VPN Client. The last day to order the Cisco Secure VPN Client is December 30, 2003. Customers will continue to receive support from the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) until December 30, 2006. Table 1 provides end-of-life milestones and dates for the Cisco Secure VPN Client.
Customers are encouraged to migrate to the Cisco VPN Client. In addition to offering more features and functions, the Cisco VPN Client Version 3.6 is in the process of being FIPS certified, (Federal Information Processing Standard for Unclassified cryptography, specific to product model and software version). Product Migration Options
The recommended replacement for the Cisco Secure VPN Client is the Cisco VPN Client (part number CVPN-CLIENT-K9=), which is supported by Cisco IOS® Software Releases 12.2(8)T, 12.3M, and later.
