Introduction
This document lists some of the most common TCP/IP and User Datagram Protocol (UDP) ports used in the Cisco MeetingPlace environment.
Prerequisites
Requirements
There are no specific requirements for this document.
Components Used
The information in this document is based on Cisco MeetingPlace server software (all versions).
The information in this document was created from the devices in a specific lab environment. All of the devices used in this document started with a cleared (default) configuration. If your network is live, make sure that you understand the potential impact of any command.

Most Commonly Used Ports
All of the applications use the same ports to communicate with a Cisco MeetingPlace server.
In addition, there are a variety of ports used between Cisco MeetingPlace conference servers and the MeetingPlace network server. It is recommended that you allow unrestricted TCP and UDP traffic between networked conference servers.
Communication between the gateway system and non-MeetingPlace systems is more application-specific and much more complicated.
This is the complete list of ports:
TCP 5001
This port is used by Cisco MeetingTime, Cisco MeetingPlace Web, and gateway products. It is opened from client (such as Cisco MeetingTime) to server.
TCP 5003
This port is used for the Cisco MeetingPlace Gateway SIM.
TCP 5005
This port is used for file transfer between a conference server and Cisco MeetingTime, Cisco MeetingPlace Web, or a gateway. It is opened from client to server.
TCP 23
This port is used for Telnet (for service login).
TCP 21
This port is used for FTP.
TCP 80
Cisco MeetingPlace Web typically uses TCP port 80 for client access (HTTP), but that can be changed. It also uses domain name services on UDP port 53. TCP port 80 is also used between the Lotus Domino server and the MeetingPlace for Notes Gateway.
TCP 1627
This port is used for direct inbound access to host a meeting with WebShare.
TCP 443
This port is used to allow Secure Socket Layer (SSL) support.
TCP 25
This port is used between the MeetingPlace Email Gateway and the Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) server.
TCP 1503
The T.120 server uses TCP port 1503.
TCP 389
This port is used between the MeetingPlace Directory Services Gateway and the company corporate directory.
TCP 1443
This port is used for MeetingPlace load balancing when the internal and external MeetingPlace Web servers are sharing one database.
TCP/UDP 161
This port is used for Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP).
UDP 162
This port is used for SNMP traps.
UDP 123
This port is used for Network Time Protocol (NTP).
UDP 514
This port has been left open for use by the syslog service.
UDP 7070
RealAudio uses UDP port 7070.
