Cisco Media Gateway Control (MGC) Node Manager software is a Cisco element manager for the fault, configuration, performance, and security management of the Cisco PGW 2200 Softswitch gateway. Cisco MGC Node Manager integrates management access to signaling components, effectively representing them as Signaling System 7 (SS7) nodes to the network operator. Individual device and logical node views are provided, making it easier to manage the components that make up a voice-over-IP (VoIP) media gateway control node as a single entity. Devices managed include: Cisco Signaling Link Terminals (SLT) and the Catalyst 2900XL Catalyst 5500 and Catalyst 6509 LAN switches Billing and Measurement Server (BAMS) H.323 Service Interface (HSI). Voice Services Provisioning Tool (VSPT) is a separate package that provides more flexibility in the delivery process. VSPT is available as a no-charge download from Cisco.com.
