Cisco IOS® Software Feature Matrices: Releases 10.3 through 12.1

Important Note: This Product Bulletin contains information for Release 10.0 through 12.1 only. For 12.2 and subsequent releases, please refer to Cisco Feature Navigator (http://www.cisco.com/go/fn/), a web-based application that will allow you to quickly match Cisco IOS Software releases to features to hardware.

This Product Bulletin provides matrices which will allow you to map Cisco IOS software features to specific software release versions from 10.3 through 12.1. These matrices are intended to be used as references for determining or verifying that specific features are supported in specific Cisco IOS Software releases. For ease of use, these matrices are grouped by Technology Category, e.g., IBM, IP, LAN, WAN, Switching, etc.

As an example, in order to determine which Cisco IOS Software releases support "TCP/IP Encapsulation," refer to the "IBM Features" matrix. Here, all of the major IBM features within Cisco IOS Software are listed in the first column. The check marks (X) in the adjacent columns indicate the Cisco IOS Software releases which support this feature. In this case, we find that "TCP/IP Encapsulations" is supported in Cisco IOS Software releases 10.3, 11.0, 11.1, 11.2, 11.3, 12.0, and 12.1.
