Q. Why do rejected e-mail messages repeatedly appear in the inbox detailed screen?
A. Typically, oversized e-mail messages that E-Mail Manager Option has rejected cause the repeated appearance. In order to process oversized messages, E-Mail Manager Option typically downloads the first 100 lines. The number of lines depends on the configuration. E-Mail Manager Option does not delete the oversized message, by default. This behavior is configurable. Oversized messages remain on the Post Office Protocol 3 (POP3) server. POP3 server administrators need to analyze rejected e-mail messages regularly in order to determine if the messages are oversized. The server administrators must extract the oversized messages and either distribute the messages to the appropriate agents or discard the messages. After this removal of oversized e-mail messages from the POP3 server, E-Mail Manager Option no longer has the rejected e-mail message count.
