The Cisco TelePresence Server brings together standards-based, high-definition videoconferencing and telepresence users in the same conference. It connects users to a wide range of endpoints and multivendor telepresence systems.
The solutions allows for interoperability with third-party endpoints, while preserving the continuous telepresence experience - so that each participant has the best call their system can offer.
The Cisco TelePresence Server comes in two form factors to meet varying needs. It is available as a chassis-based MSE 8710 or an appliance-based TS 7000 Series.
ActivePresence
ActivePresence is a unique, patent-pending feature of the Cisco TelePresence Server, enabling the delivery of the next-generation multipoint meeting experience. ActivePresence offers a view of all attendees in a meeting while giving prominence to the active speaker. While the active speaker occupies the majority of the screen, a seamless overlay of others in the call will appear in the lower third of the screen, giving participants a more natural view of everyone sitting around the virtual table.
ActivePresence is also a feature on WebEx Meeting Center with high quality video. ActivePresence on WebEx with speaker switching technology allows the main video to switch automatically to the active speaker based on voice activation.
