Q. How to configure the SPA-901?A.
Note: The following is an example of registering your SPA901 Phone to FreeWorld Dial-up. The configuration settings may vary depending on the requirements of your VoIP Provider.
You need to perform three steps if you want to configure your SPA901 Series Phone to FreeWorld Dial-up
- Registration of VoIP account
- Accessing the SPA901 web user interface
- Configuring the SPA901 phone for VoIP
Registration of VoIP Account
Go to FreeWorld Dial-up registration site to sign-up for a free VoIP account.
Accessing the SPA901 web user interface
Check your SPA901 IP Address. Quickly press **** (asterisk/star key) on the dial pad. After "configuration menu" dial 110#. Take note of the IP address.
Launch your browser and type in http://IP_Address_of_your_SPA901 ont he address field then hit Enter. You're now ready to configure the SPA901 for VoIP.
Note: If the web interface is asking for a username and password, this means that the unit was locked by your Provider. Please contact your respective VoIP Provider for assistance.
Configuring the SPA901 phone for VoIP
Go to Admin Login then Advanced, click on Ext 1 tab. To get connected to FWD you must input your FWD number and password which you will receive after registration on their website together with the following standard configuration settings:
Click on Submit All Changes then check Registration State on Info tab under EXT 1 Status.
