Q. My SPA adapter's LED light is blinking, what does it mean?
A.Listed below are the SPA's blinking pattern which may help you understand it's present condition:
LED's Blinking Patterns
Slow Blinking (0.5s ON, 0.5s OFF continuous)
- System Initialization; only happens when the SPA boots-up, the time could be as long as 10 seconds (hardware reboot), or two seconds (warm reboot).
- Firmware downloading.
- Looking for DHCP.
Fast Blinking (0.1s ON, 0.1s OFF continuous)
- Writing firmware to flash.
Heartbeat 2 (short, short, short, off for 1.2 seconds (0.1s ON, 0.1s OFF, 0.1s ON, 0.1s OFF, 0.1s ON, 1.2s OFF continuous)
- Firmware load.
LINK ERROR (long, short, short, off for 2 seconds (0.5s ON, 0.3s OFF, 0.1s ON, 0.1s OFF, 0.1s ON, 2s OFF continuous)
- No Ethernet link detected.
Error 1 (short, short, long, off for 2 seconds (0.1s ON, 0.1s OFF, 0.1s ON, 0.1s OFF, 0.5s ON, 2s OFF continuous)
- Device is using backup IP (the last known good IP). This feature is only in v2.0 and above.
Error 2 (short, short, long, long, off for 2 seconds (0.1s ON, 0.1s OFF, 0.1s ON, 0.1s OFF, 0.5s ON, 0.2s OFF, 0.5s ON, 2s OFF continuous)
- A duplicate IP is detected.
SOS (short, short, short, long, long, short, short, short, off for 2 seconds (0.1s ON, 0.1s OFF, 0.1s ON, 0.1s OFF, 0.1s ON, 0.3s OFF, 0.3s ON, 0.3s OFF, 0.3s ON, 0.3s OFF, 0.1s ON, 0.1s OFF, 0.1s ON, 0.1s OFF, 0.1sON, 2s OFF continuous)
- Firmware is in recovery mode.
