Q. How do I change the IP address of my Linksys VOIP router?

A.

Changing the router's LAN IP address is sometimes necessary to avoid IP address conflict between the VOIP router and other networking devices. For instructions, follow the steps below.

Changing the LAN IP Address of the Router

You can change the LAN IP address of the router by performing the following steps:

Step 1:
Access the router's web-based setup page. For instructions, click here.

Step 2:
When the router's web-based setup page appears, look for Local IP Address and change it to "192.168.2.1" to avoid IP address conflict.

Step 4:
Renew the computer's IP address.

Note:  The router will reboot after applying the settings. Access the router's setup page using "192.168.2.1" (the new IP address of the VOIP router).
