Cisco Secure Access Control Server
v2.6 for Windows 2000 & NT Available
(Support for Cisco Aironet Wireless)
Cisco Systems announces the availability of Cisco Secure Access Control Server (ACS) 2.6 for Windows. ACS 2.6 includes enhancements to support Cisco's Aironet® Wireless solutions. Additional enhancements provide:
- New RADIUS support for user authentication and authorization of wireless clients accessing Cisco Aironet Wireless solutions
- Lightweight Extensible Authentication Protocol (LEAP) support for Cisco Aironet Wireless
- New dynamic wireless encryption key distribution based on RADIUS
- Support for Windows 2000 Service Pack 1
- New one-time token card drivers and support for Windows 2000
- General product maintenance updates and patches
Availability
The Cisco Secure ACS 2.6 for Windows 2000 and NT release will begin shipping on January 30, 2001. New customers interested in purchasing ACS 2.6 can order this product through normal sales channels (see below for ordering information) beginning January 16, 2001.
Existing Cisco Secure ACS for Windows 2000 and NT customers with current Software Application Support (SAS) or Software Application Support and Upgrade (SAU) service contracts listing Cisco Secure ACS for Windows 2000 and NT (PN# CSNT-2.X) can use their service contract numbers to request an update from http://www.cisco.com/upgrade beginning January 16, 2001.
Existing Cisco Secure ACS for Windows 2000 and NT customers, without active service contracts, can purchase an upgrade to Version 2.6. These upgrades are available to order, through normal sales channels, beginning January 16, 2001 (see below for ordering information).
Customers who have purchased the CSNT-2.5 within the 90 day warranty period can request a copy of version 2.6 by visiting http://www.cisco.com/upgrade and selecting "warranty" as the type of upgrade.
