Cisco Announces the End-of-Sale and the
End-of-Life Process for the
Cisco WT-2700 Series
of Fixed Wireless Access Products
Overview
The Cisco Wireless Access Business Unit provides Fixed Wireless Last Mile Access products. The products affected are:

End-of-Life Definitions and Calendar
The term End-of-Life (EOL) means a process concerning all activities revolving around the discontinuation of a product. The following table illustrates the definition and timing of each milestone for the EOL

EOL Products and Migration
As per the above EOL schedule, End-of-Sale (EOS) for these bundles will occur February 12, 2002. There is no Cisco product substitute for the Cisco WT-2700 Series. There are competitive products in the industry for UNII point-to-point and point-to-multipoint as well as Multichannel Multipoint Distribution Service (MMDS) point-to-multipoint products. Customers may migrate to these platforms.
Cisco WT-2700 Series Product line
The Cisco WT-2700 Series product provides point-to-point and point-to-multipoint Fixed Wireless Access for the UNII 5.7Ghz band and the MMDS 2.5Ghz band.
These products are generally used by Fixed Wireless Last Mile Access service providers who provide business access services for data and voice.
