Introduction
This document provides troubleshooting information for the no scsi devices found error message.
This error appears when the systems are booting, but does not prevent the computer from working. The computer is equipped with an integrated Small Computer Systems Interface (SCSI) controller built into the motherboard. When it is not in use, the computer reports no scsi device found.
The no scsi device found error message is just an annoyance; this error does not affect computer functionality. Until this is disabled at the factory level, turn it off with the steps provided in this document.

The information presented in this document was created from devices in a specific lab environment. All of the devices used in this document started with a cleared (default) configuration. Problem
There are no SCSI devices attached to the SCSI port on the system. The drives are attached to the Array controller.
Solution
Follow these steps to turn off the no scsi device found error message:

Reboot the system and access the F10 software. While in the system software, turn on the advanced features with the Ctrl-A option.

Of the advanced features, select these options:

System Configuration

Configure Hardware
-
Review or modify hardware settings

View or edit details

Scroll down to Bus 1 - Compaq Wide-Ultra SCSI Controller (Port 1).

Look for SCSI Resources. Press Enter.

Select the Disable option. Press Enter. A box comes up that warns about disabling protocol control information (PCI) devices.

Select the Yes option. Press Enter.

Scroll down to the Bus 1 - Compaq Wide-Ultra SCSI Controller (Port 2).

Look for SCSI Resources. Press Enter.

Select Disable. Press Enter. A box comes up that warns about disabling PCI devices.

Select Yes. Press Enter.

Press the F10 key.

Select Save and exit. Save the configuration and restart the computer.

Press Enter and allow the system to reboot.
