Cisco® announces a change in product part numbers for the Spectrum Expert for Wi-Fi, Cardbus Card. This is a product part number change only announcement. Customers will experience no change in functionality when using the new product IDs. The new product IDs are designed to simplify the customer ordering process. The last day to order the affected product using the current product IDs is November 20, 2007. Customers will continue to receive support from the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) until otherwise specified in the end-of-life announcement for the new product ID(s). Table 1 describes the end-of-life milestones, definitions, and dates for the affected product. Table 2 lists the product part numbers affected by this announcement.
On October 8, 2007, Cisco finalized the acquisition of Cognio. With the close of the Cognio acquisition, Cisco assumes the existing Cognio warranty and support obligations associated with the aforementioned products. Cognio customers with active maintenance agreements will continue to receive support from the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC). Customers with current maintenance agreements for Cognio Spectrum Expert for Wi-Fi or Cognio Spectrum Expert for RFID will be able to access software downloads by registering their Spectrum Expert product at: http://www.cognio.com/support/register.html. Support assistance for Cognio products will continue to be available through the existing Cognio support line (301 540-4924), and e-mail address (email@example.com). All active support agreement terms will remain in place through the applicable expiration date.
