Product Bulletin No. 3135
Cisco Systems® announces the end-of-life (EOL) and end-of-sale (EOS) dates for the Cisco® Aironet® 350 Series Client Adapter (AIR-LMC352 and AIR-LMC352/40). The last day to order the Cisco Aironet 350 Series Client Adapter (AIR-LMC352) is January 17, 2006. Table 1 describes the end-of-life milestones, definitions, and dates for the Cisco Aironet 350 Series Client Adapter (AIR-LMC352). Table 2 lists the product part number affected by this announcement.
With the vast majority of Cisco Aironet 350 Series Client Adapter (AIR-LMC352) adapters being embedded in application specific devices (ASDs), such as handheld barcode scanners and mobile printers, the recommended substitute is to direct these ASD vendors to participate in the Cisco Compatible Program. The Cisco Compatible Program involves device vendors utilizing IEEE 802.11 silicon or radio adapters supporting the Cisco Client Extensions specification. The device vendor then submits the device supporting Cisco Client Extensions through independent testing to validate compliance with the Cisco wireless LAN infrastructure. Information on the Cisco Compatible Program, as well as a list of currently support Cisco Compatible devices, can be found at http://www.cisco.com/en/US/partners/pr46/pr147/partners_pgm_concept_home.html.
