Cisco® announces the end-of-sale and end-of life dates for the Power Supply for Cisco Aironet 1130, 1140, 1240 and 1300 Series Access Point. The last day to order the affected product(s) is November 20, 2009. Customers with active service contracts will continue to receive support from the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) as shown in Table 1 of the EoL bulletin. Table 1 describes the end-of-life milestones, definitions, and dates for the affected product(s). Table 2 lists the product part numbers affected by this announcement. For customers with active and paid service and support contracts, support will be available until the termination date of the contract, even if this date exceeds the Last Date of Support shown in Table 1.

As we transition to more power-efficient products, the power supply options and availability of spares have changed for the following products, effective immediately:
• Cisco Aironet 1130 Series Access Point
• Cisco Aironet 1140 Series Access Point
• Cisco Aironet 1240 Series Access Point
• Cisco Aironet 1300 Series Outdoor Access Point/Bridge
For these products only, product AIR-PWR-A will continue to be the power supply offered when ordered as an option. However, when a power supply is ordered as a spare, an Energy Star-rated power supply (product AIR-PWR-B=) will be offered, and product AIR-PWR-A= will no longer be available as a spare.
Note: The Cisco Aironet 1140 Series Access Point power supply can be ordered only as a spare, not as an option. By the middle of this calendar year we expect the inventory for product AIR-PWR-A to be depleted, and "option" ordering will be discontinued. At this time it will be replaced by the Energy Star-rated product AIR-PWR-B. Functionally, AIR-PWR-A and AIR-PWR-B are identical, providing 48 VDC output to a 100-240 VAC input. We are in the process of updating all collateral materials and the ordering tool to reflect the addition of the new power supply.
Customers can use the Cisco Technology Migration Plan (TMP) to trade in products and receive credit toward the purchase of new Cisco equipment. For more information about Cisco TMP, go to: http://www.cisco.com/go/tradein/. The Cisco TMP application requires all users to have a Cisco.com user ID.
Customers may be able to continue to purchase the Power Supply for Cisco Aironet 1130, 1140, 1240 and 1300 Series Access Point through the Cisco Certified Refurbished Equipment program. Refurbished units may be available in limited supply for sale in certain countries on a first-come, first-served basis until the Last Date of Support has been reached.
