Cisco Systems® announces the end-of-sale and end-of-life dates for the Cisco® Media Convergence Server 7865I-1500. The last day to order this product is February 16, 2005. Customers with active service contracts will continue to receive support from the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) until February 16, 2010. Table 1 describes the end-of-life milestones, definitions, and dates for the product. Table 2 lists the product part numbers affected by this announcement.

The recommended replacement for the Cisco MCS 7865I-1500 is the Cisco MCS 7845-I1 or the Cisco MCS 7845-H1.
The new Cisco MCS 7845-I1 and Cisco MCS 7845-H1 media convergence servers have two Xeon 3.4 GHz processors with an 800 MHz front side bus and 4 GB RAM in a 2-rack unit (2RU) form factor. These servers offer a more space-efficient and cost-effective server while still supporting the same number of Cisco Unity™ ports and voice-mail boxes as the Cisco MCS 7865I-1500 servers they replace.
