The Cisco® Unified Communications 500 Series, part of the Cisco Smart Business Communications System, is an all-in-one, simple, smart, and affordable unified communications platform designed specifically for growing small businesses. It takes advantage of industry-leading, business-class, proven unified communications technologies (voice, data, security and wireless) integrated into one platform, and enables integration with commonly used desktop applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Internet Explorer, and customer relationship management (CRM) software.
Orderability is now turned on for a number of new license-based upgrades for the Cisco Unified 500 Series models. This includes the 24-48 user upgrade SKU (SL-UC520-24-48UPG=), the 24-32 user upgrade SKU (SL-UC520-32UPG=) and the 48-64 user upgrade SKU (SL-UC520-64UPG=).
When upgrading to larger capacity systems, the customer will need additional Cisco Catalyst switches to enable the additional IP phones. The suggested switch model is the Cisco Catalyst Express 520 Series 24-port model (WS-CE520-24PC-K9).
Remember, for customers wishing to move from the 8/16-user version to the 24/32/48-user version, a hardware replacement is required. The Cisco to Cisco Technology Migration Program (TMP) will provide a 10 percent credit of the original list price toward the larger system. More information on the TMP can be found at http://www.cisco.com/go/tradein.
