Cisco Systems® announces the end-of-sale and end-of-life dates for the Cisco® 12000 Series Eight-Port OC-3/STM-1 ATM Line Card. The last day to order the affected product is May 28, 2006. Customers with active service contracts will continue to receive support from the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) until May 28, 2011. Table 1 describes the end-of-life milestones, definitions, and dates for the affected product. Table 2 lists the product part numbers affected by this announcement.
Customers are encouraged to migrate to the Cisco 12000 Series 4-Port OC-3/STM-1 ATM ISE Line Card which features the IP Services Engine (ISE)-a powerful adaptive network processor (ANP) that combines the hardware performance of application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs) with the flexibility of software to deliver multiple robust network-edge features while maintaining predictable line-rate performance.
