Cisco announces the end-of-sale and end-of life dates for the Cisco® AS5350XM and AS5400XM Media Gateway Remote Access (Dial) Bundles. The last day to order the affected product(s) is September 30, 2010. Customers with active service contracts will continue to receive support from the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) as shown in Table 1 of the EoL bulletin. Table 1 describes the end-of-life milestones, definitions, and dates for the affected product(s). Table 2 lists the product part numbers affected by this announcement. For customers with active and paid service and support contracts, support will be available until the termination date of the contract, even if this date exceeds the Last Date of Support shown in Table 1.
For dial-up, remote access applications, there are no direct replacements for the Cisco AS5400XM and AS5350XM Series. Customers are encouraged to use the Cisco Integrated Services Routers (ISRs) using the following modules: PVDM2-12DM, PVDM2-24DM, and PVDM2-36DM, as described in Table 2 below. Note that the dial-up densities on the ISRs are not as scalable as those on the AS5000 Series.
The Cisco AS5400XM and AS5350XM Series support high-density packet voice (VoIP) and fax applications with Cisco IOS Software Release 12.4T. This end-of-sale has no effect on the availability of the Cisco AS5400XM and AS5350XM Series bundles for high-density packet voice (VoIP) and fax applications.

Product Migration Options
For dial-up, remote access applications, there are no direct replacements on the Cisco AS5400XM and AS5350XM Series. Customers are encouraged to use the Cisco Integrated Services Routers (ISRs) using the Cisco PVDM2-12DM,PVDM2-24DM,and PVDM2-36DM Digital Modem Packet Voice Data Modules.
Customers can use the Cisco Technology Migration Program (TMP) to trade-in products and receive credit toward the purchase of new Cisco equipment. For more information about Cisco TMP, customers should work with their Cisco Partner or Cisco account team. Customers may be able to continue to purchase the Cisco AS5350XM and AS5400XM Universal Gateway Remote Access (Dial) Bundles through the Cisco Certified Refurbished Equipment program. Refurbished units may be available in limited supply for sale in certain countries on a first-come, first-served basis until the Last Date of Support has been reached.
