Determining the Software Version of Microsoft Outlook for Cisco Unified MeetingPlace
Third-Party Software Policy
Cisco Unified MeetingPlace is extensively tested in its supported hardware and software environment. Cisco qualifies a fixed set of required third-party software, including remote-access and antivirus. This set is documented in the System Requirements document for each release. Any third-party components that are not explicitly listed in the System Requirements documentation are not supported.

•
Upgrading from One Maintenance Release to Another Maintenance Release
Reinstalling Microsoft Outlook for Cisco Unified MeetingPlace After Migrating to Microsoft Outlook 2007
You cannot upgrade from a previous version of Microsoft Outlook for Cisco Unified MeetingPlace to a newer version if you have recently migrated to Microsoft Outlook 2007 and Windows Vista. The first time you upgrade to a newer version of Microsoft Outlook for Cisco Unified MeetingPlace after you have migrated to Microsoft Outlook 2007 and Windows Vista, you must uninstall the previous version and install the new version.
The Microsoft Outlook for Cisco Unified MeetingPlace executable file comes in two forms: setup.exe and upgrade.exe. Normally, you use the upgrade.exe file to upgrade desktops to the latest version; however; if you have recently migrated to Microsoft Outlook 2007 and Windows Vista, the upgrade.exe file does not work. Instead, you have to uninstall the previous version of Microsoft Outlook for Cisco Unified MeetingPlace and then run the setup.exe file. Consequently, end users to have to log in once after the install.
Installing Microsoft Outlook for Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Release 6.0 for the First Time
For instructions on installing Microsoft Outlook for Cisco Unified MeetingPlace, see http://docwiki.cisco.com/wiki/Cisco_Unified_MeetingPlace%2C_Release_6.x_--_Installing_Cisco_Unified_MeetingPlace_for_Outlook.
Upgrading to Microsoft Outlook for Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Release 6.0
With Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Release 6.0, all Cisco Unified MeetingPlace integration components must be installed on a Cisco MCS server running a Microsoft Windows 2003 Server-based Cisco MCS operating system. Changing the operating system from the Windows 2000 Server-based version to the Windows 2003 Server-based version requires a new installation. Cisco Systems does not support upgrading the operating system from the Windows 2000 Server-based version to the Windows 2003 Server-based version.
Migrating to Microsoft Outlook for Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Release 6.0 involves backing up specific data, installing the Windows 2003 Server-based operating system, reinstalling Cisco Unified MeetingPlace components, and restoring data. See http://docwiki.cisco.com/wiki/Cisco_Unified_MeetingPlace%2C_Release_6.x_--_Upgrading_to_Cisco_Unified_MeetingPlace_Release_6.0.

Microsoft Outlook for Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Online Help: About Scheduling Meetings on Behalf of Other Users
In the "About Scheduling Meetings on Behalf of Other Users" topic, the fourth bullet is incorrect and should be replaced with the following bullet:
•
If your password has expired but has not yet been changed after scheduling a meeting on behalf of a user, the following limitations apply:
–
You cannot reschedule the meeting in the calendar by dragging and dropping the meeting.
–
If the first meeting you open after your password expires is a meeting you scheduled on behalf of a user, you will be prompted to enter a new password, but the password you enter will not be retained. You must open a meeting on your calendar and change the password to prevent this issue.
–
The user cannot reschedule the meeting. The user can still attend the meeting.
–
The user cannot delete the meeting.
