Installing IBM Lotus Notes for Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Release 6.0 for the First Time
For instructions on installing IBM Lotus Notes for Cisco Unified MeetingPlace, see the DocWiki at http://docwiki.cisco.com/wiki/Cisco_Unified_MeetingPlace%2C_Release_6.x_--_Cisco_Unified_MeetingPlace_for_Lotus_Notes_Installation_and_Configuration.
Upgrading to IBM Lotus Notes for Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Release 6.0
With Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Release 6.0, all Cisco Unified MeetingPlace integration components must be installed on a Cisco MCS server running a Microsoft Windows 2003 Server-based Cisco MCS operating system. Changing the operating system from the Windows 2000 Server-based version to the Windows 2003 Server-based version requires a new installation. Cisco Systems does not support upgrading the operating system from the Windows 2000 Server-based version to the Windows 2003 Server-based version.
Migrating to IBM Lotus Notes for Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Release 6.0 involves backing up specific data, installing the Windows 2003 Server-based operating system, reinstalling Cisco Unified MeetingPlace components, and restoring data. Refer to http://docwiki.cisco.com/wiki/Cisco_Unified_MeetingPlace%2C_Release_6.x_--_Upgrading_to_Cisco_Unified_MeetingPlace_Release_6.0.
For instructions on upgrading IBM Lotus Notes for Cisco Unified MeetingPlace, see http://docwiki.cisco.com/wiki/Cisco_Unified_MeetingPlace%2C_Release_6.x_--_Upgrading_to_Cisco_Unified_MeetingPlace_Release_6.0.
Note the following considerations:
•
Upgrading a legacy system to IBM Lotus Notes for Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Release 6.0 requires a legacy third-party Windows server with system specifications comparable to Cisco MCS specifications required for the same deployment. For information on Cisco MCS specifications, go to http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/voiceapp/ps378/index.html.
•
Mixed-template environments are not supported; all users must be on the same IBM Lotus Domino server and template environment.
•
You must upgrade the integration server machine to Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Web Conferencing Release 6.0 before the IBM Lotus Notes for Cisco Unified MeetingPlace upgrade.
Limitations and Restrictions
•
IBM Lotus Sametime Meetings Require Internet Browser Setting
Authentication Support
The only form of authentication supported by IBM Lotus Notes for Cisco Unified MeetingPlace is IBM Lotus Domino authentication with Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Web Conferencing configured to use MeetingPlace authentication. Other authentication methods supported by Web Conferencing, such as Windows Integrated Authentication, are not supported for use with IBM Lotus Notes for Cisco Unified MeetingPlace.
For instructions on configuring IBM Lotus Domino authentication with MeetingPlace authentication, see http://docwiki.cisco.com/wiki/Cisco_Unified_MeetingPlace%2C_Release_6.x_--_Cisco_Unified_MeetingPlace_for_Lotus_Notes_Installation_and_Configuration#Enabling_Domino_Authentication.
