Introduction
Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Audio Server is the software that runs the Cisco Unified MeetingPlace system. The software is installed on either a Cisco Unified MeetingPlace 8106 or a Cisco Unified MeetingPlace 8112 hardware server. Additional software components—such as Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Web Conferencing and Cisco Unified MeetingPlace for Microsoft Outlook—are installed on a Cisco Media Convergence Server (MCS).
Cisco Unified MeetingPlace MeetingTime is the desktop software that allows system administrators to access and use the Audio Server system functions from customer-provided Windows computers.

Third-Party Software Policy
Cisco Unified MeetingPlace is extensively tested in its supported hardware and software environment. Diverging from the supported hardware and software environment by adding third-party components may negatively impact Cisco Unified MeetingPlace functionality and may impose limitations to your Cisco support.
Cisco qualifies a fixed set of required third-party software, including remote-access and antivirus. This set is documented in the System Requirements document for each release. Any third-party components that are not explicitly listed in the System Requirements documentation are not supported.

Added Ability to Import and Export Teams
You can now import and export teams, in addition to the current import and export mechanisms from MeetingTime. Added a Raw Teams Report option under the Report tab and added an Import Teams options under the Systems tab.

Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Audio Server Release 6.0(1.11) is also known as Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Audio Server Release 6.0 maintenance release 1 (MR1).
•
Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Audio Server Release 6.0.(2.12) is also known as Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Release 6.0 maintenance release 2 (MR2).

•
Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Audio Server Release 6.0.(4.4) is also known as Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Release 6.0 maintenance release 4 (MR4).
•
Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Audio Server Release 6.0.(5.11) is also known as Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Release 6.0 maintenance release 5 (MR5).
Before You Begin
Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Audio Server Release 6.0 must be installed on your system before applying the Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Audio Server Release 6.0 MR1, MR2, MR3, MR4, or MR5 patch to your audio server. You cannot upgrade directly from Release 5.x to a Release 6.0 maintenance release using the patch update mechanism.

Primary and Shadow Server Requirements
When updating the Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Audio Server for major, minor, and maintenance releases, if the system has a shadow server, then the shadow server must also be updated before it can connect to the primary server.
For example:
•
If you move from Release 5.4(1.5) to Release 6.0(2.12), you must update the shadow server.
•
If you move from Release 6.0(0.25) to Release 6.0(2.12), you must update the shadow server.
•
If you move from Release 6.0(2.9) to Release 6.0(2.12), you do not have to update the shadow server, but it is recommended.
•
If you move from Release 6.0(1.11) to Release 6.0(2.12), you must update the shadow server.
Limitations and Restrictions
•
Limitation
•
Restriction
•
Closed Caveats
Limitation
In Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Release 5.3 and later, QSIG is available only in the unshifted timeslot mode; that is, the B-channels must be numbered 1 to 15 and 17 to 31. The B-channel 16 is not available. If your version of QSIG does not allow this, you can configure your PBX to use ETSI ISDN (non-QSIG) instead.
Restriction
Cisco Unified Communications Manager does not support the logical partitioning feature for calls that involve Cisco Unified MeetingPlace.
Closed Caveats
The following caveats have been closed, which means that Cisco acknowledges that there is a problem but is choosing not to fix it. See the "Using Bug Toolkit" section for information about accessing these caveats.
