Cisco Unified MeetingPlace for Lotus Notes supports upgrading only from specific versions of Cisco Unified MeetingPlace for Lotus Notes. For supported upgrades, see the applicable Release Notes for Cisco Unified MeetingPlace for Lotus Notes.

We do not support mixed template environments. If you are upgrading from one release of Domino server to another, you must upgrade all users to the same server and template environment.
How to Upgrade to Cisco Unified MeetingPlace for Lotus Notes
To upgrade to Cisco Unified MeetingPlace for Lotus Notes, complete the following procedures in the order shown:

Restrictions
If you are using Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Web Conferencing Release 5.3 on your integration server, you must upgrade to Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Web Conferencing Release 5.4 before you upgrade to Cisco Unified MeetingPlace for Lotus Notes.

Prerequisites
Before you upgrade, make sure that you have the following configuration:
•
You have the required release of Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Web Conferencing installed on the integration server, and are currently using supported releases of the Domino server and Lotus Notes clients. For system requirements, see the System Requirements for Cisco Unified MeetingPlace, at http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/ps5664/ps5669/prod_installation_guides_list.html.
•
You have Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Audio Server Release 5.4 installed on a Cisco Unified MeetingPlace 8100 series server.
To Upgrade to Cisco Unified MeetingPlace for Lotus Notes Release 5.4
Step 1
To remove Cisco Unified MeetingPlace for Notes templates from your integration server, delete the entire Files to Be Put in Your Domino Server Data Directory folder from drive:\Latitude\MeetingPlace for Notes. The Cisco Unified MeetingPlace for Lotus Notes upgrade will reinstall this folder with appropriate templates.
Step 2
From your Domino server Data directory, remove the following three files:
•
mail50xxMP.ntf or mail60xxMP.ntf
•
mpsa.ntf
•
MPSA.nsf
Step 3
Run the Cisco Unified MeetingPlace for Lotus Notes executable (Setup.exe) and complete the InstallShield wizard to upgrade. Maintain all defaults. The installer will automatically upgrade the current Cisco Unified MeetingPlace for Lotus Notes components.
Step 4
After installation, complete the post-installation tasks in the "How to Complete Cisco Unified MeetingPlace for Lotus Notes Post-Installation Tasks" section on page 2-7.
Step 5
When you are finished upgrading, test your installation as described in the "How to Test the Cisco Unified MeetingPlace for Lotus Notes Installation" section on page 2-22.
Upgrading to Cisco Unified MeetingPlace for Lotus Notes Release 5.4 with a Server Upgrade and Data Migration
Restrictions
Use this procedure when you upgrade to Cisco Unified MeetingPlace for Lotus Notes Release 5.4 and you upgrade your server and migrate data; otherwise, to upgrade without data migration, use the procedure in the "Upgrading to Cisco Unified MeetingPlace for Lotus Notes Release 5.4" section.
Prerequisites
•
For use after the upgrade, schedule at least five meetings for every supported recurrence pattern—Daily for x days meetings, Monthly for x months meetings, and so on—to test the rescheduling process. Also, schedule enough single future meetings for the same purposes.

Ensure that Cisco Unified MeetingPlace for Lotus Notes 5.3 and Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Web Conferencing Release 5.3 are installed on a Cisco MCS that is connected to Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Audio Server Release 5.3.
To Upgrade to Cisco Unified MeetingPlace for Lotus Notes Release 5.4 with a Server Upgrade and Data Migration
Step 1
Verify that you have a clean Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Audio Server Release 5.4 installation. Convert the data from Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Audio Server Release 5.3 to Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Audio Server Release 5.4 by following the instructions in the PCI Server to Cisco MeetingPlace 8100 Series Server Upgrade Procedure for Cisco MeetingPlace Audio Server at the following URL:

Step 2
Shut down the server on which Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Web Conferencing Release 5.3 and Cisco Unified MeetingPlace for Lotus Notes Release 5.3 are running.
Note
Ensure that you have the IP address and host name of this server; you need them for the new installation of Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Web Conferencing Release 5.4 and Cisco Unified MeetingPlace for Lotus Notes Release 5.4 so that the old click-to-attend links work on Lotus Notes calendars after the upgrade.
Step 3
Have a clean Cisco MCS 7835 or Cisco MCS 7845 and assign the server the IP address and host name that were assigned to the server you shut down in Step 2.
Step 4
Install Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Web Conferencing Release 5.4 on the Cisco MCS server and connect to your new Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Audio Server Release 5.4.
Step 5
Test Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Web Conferencing to ensure it works by scheduling and attending a meeting.
Step 6
Install the Lotus Notes client and run the Cisco Unified MeetingPlace for Lotus Notes Release 5.4 installation.
Step 7
Stop the Domino server and delete the following files from the Domino server Data folder:
•
mpsa.ntf
•
mpsa.nsf
•
mpnotes 5.3 mail template
Step 8
Copy the required files from your new Cisco Unified MeetingPlace for Lotus Notes server to the Data directory on your Domino server and create a new MPSA.nsf by following the steps in the "Creating the MeetingPlace Server Agent Database" section on page 2-13.
Step 9
Replace the design of the Notes templates for all Notes users, including the client, on the Cisco Unified MeetingPlace for Lotus Notes server by running the load convert command from the Domino server console by following the steps in the "Configuring the Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Account to Use the Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Mail Template" section on page 2-12.
Step 10
Start the Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Notes Gateway service.
Step 11
Test all old meetings—rescheduling, attending, and so on.
Step 12
Upgrade Lotus Notes clients for users from 6.0.3 to 6.5.4 or 6.0.4.
