Cisco UCS B-Series Servers Documentation Roadmap

Overview

This document describes the user documentation available for the Cisco Unified Computing System (Cisco UCS) products including the B-series blade servers and Cisco UCS Manager software. To find a document online, use one of the links in this roadmap.

In addition, an ISO file containing all B and C-Series documents is available at the following URL: http://www.cisco.com/cisco/software/type.html?mdfid=283853163&flowid=25821. From this page, click Unified Computing System (UCS) Documentation Roadmap Bundle.

The ISO file is updated after every major documentation release.

Release Notes and Interoperability Information

The Release Notes for Cisco UCS Manager provides the most current information about open and resolved caveats for each release of the Cisco UCS software, including Cisco UCS Manager GUI, B-series BIOS builds, and drivers or firmware associated with each release.

The Hardware and Software Interoperability Matrix for B Series Servers document provides interoperability matrices for Cisco UCS components and configurations that have been tested and validated by Cisco, by Cisco partners, or both. Use it as a reference for supported hardware and software.

The interactive UCS Hardware and Software Interoperability Utility lets you view the supported components and configurations for a selected server model and software release. This utility is available at the following URL: http://www.cisco.com/web/techdoc/ucs/interoperability/matrix/matrix.html

Note

The interoperability information for a particular release is dependent on third-party certification testing done after the release has been made public. Therefore, the interoperability information may not be available until several months after the release becomes publically available.
