Finding the Serial Number Location
You might need the serial number of your TX1310 65 to order FRUs. The serial number is located on the lower part of the light reflector as shown in Figure 5-1.

Replacing the Camera—Part Number CTS1300-47CAMCLST=
This section describes the steps you take to remove and replace the camera and contains the following topics:

A 3mm allen wrench is required.
Removing and Replacing the Camera
To remove the existing camera and replace it with a new camera, perform the following actions:
Step 1 Remove the cabinet cover.
See Figure 3-47 for more information.
Step 2 Power off the system by turning the power switch on the PDU inside the cabinet to the "OFF" position.
The switch is located in the right side of the cabinet.
Step 3 Remove the speaker cover.
See Figure 3-39 for more information.
Step 4 Disconnect the camera cables at the camera processor by pressing on the connectors and pulling them out.
Step 5 Loosen the three hex screws securing the camera in place.
Step 6 Slide the camera forward until the slots in the metal camera bracket disengages from the grooves in the TX1310 65 assembly.
See Figure 3-38 for more information.
Step 7 Take the new camera and slide it forward onto the camera bracket on the TX1310 65, and secure it with three screws.
Step 8 Attach the three camera cables to the camera processor. See Table 5-3 for information about which connector to attach each camera cable.

Step 9 Replace the speaker cover.
Step 10 Power on the system by turning the power switch on the PDU inside the cabinet to the "ON" position.
Step 11 Replace the cabinet cover.
Step 12 Level and recalibrate the camera by following the procedure in the "Setting Up the Cameras" section in Chapter 4 "First-Time Setup."
Replacing the Display—Part Number CTS-DISP-65-GEN4=
This procedure describes how to replace the display and includes the following sections:

Replacing the Display
To replace the display:
Step 1 Remove the cabinet cover.
See Figure 3-47 for more information.
Step 2 Power off the system by turning the power switch on the PDU inside the cabinet to the "OFF" position.
The switch is located in the right side of the cabinet.
Step 3 Remove the speaker cover.
See Figure 3-39 for more information.
Step 4 Remove the camera:
a. Disconnect the camera cables at the camera processor by pressing on the connectors and pulling them out.
b. Loosen the three hex screws securing the camera in place.
c. Slide the camera forward until the slots in the metal camera bracket disengages from the grooves in the TX1310 65 assembly.
See Figure 3-38 for more information.
Step 5 Remove the clips that attach the posts on the bezel to the display assembly, then remove the bezel.
See Figure 3-37 for more information.
Step 6 Remove the display:
a. Using two people, lift the display, removing the mounting buttons from the keyhole slots in the mounting plate. off of the display hooks.
b. Disconnect the power and signal cables from the display.
See Figure 3-33 for more information.
Step 7 Remove the mounting buttons from the display.
See Figure 3-32 for more information.
Step 8 Install the mounting buttons on the new display.
Step 9 Replace the display.
Step 10 Replace the camera.
Step 11 Attach the three camera cables to the camera processor. See Table 5-3 for information about which connector to attach each camera cable.

Replacing the Codec—Part Number CTS-CODEC-PRI-G2R= or CTS-CODEC-PRI-RCH= (PRC)
This procedure describes the steps you perform to remove and replace a CTS 1300-47 codec and includes the following topics:

A #2 Phillips head screwdriver is required.
Removing and Replacing the Codec
To remove and replace a codec, complete the following steps:
Step 1 Remove the cabinet cover.
See Figure 3-47 for more information.
Step 2 Power off the system by turning the power switch on the PDU inside the cabinet to the "OFF" position.
The switch is located in the right side of the cabinet.
Step 3 Remove the cables from the codec.
See Figure 3-40 for a cable routing diagram.
Step 4 Remove the codec by completing the following steps:
a. Remove the two screws connecting the codec bracket to the cabinet.
b. Remove the codec assembly from the cabinet.
c. Remove codec bracket by removing the eight screws connecting the codec bracket to the codec.
See Figure 3-36 for more information.
Step 5 Install the new codec into the cabinet by completing the following steps:
a. Attach the codec bracket to the codec, using four screws on each side.
b. Push the codec bracket back into the cabinet, inserting the two tabs at the bottom of the bracket into the corresponding slots in the cabinet, and secure the codec bracket with the two screws.
c. Reconnect all cables to the replacement codec.
Step 6 Complete the following steps to configure the new codec in Cisco Unified Communications Manager:
a. Open a browser on a computer connected to the network.
b. Access the Cisco Unified Communications Manager interface.
c. Add the Room Email ID of the previous codec to the new codec.
d. Make sure the new codec's status is registered.
e. Delete the MAC address of the previous codec from the Cisco Unified CM application user profile that is used in Cisco TelePresence Manager (CTS-Manager).
f. Add the new codec to the application user profile and click Save.
Step 7 Power on the system by turning the PDU in the right of the cabinet to the "ON" position.
Step 8 In a supported Internet browser, type in the IP address of for your CTS 1300-47 system.
Note If your system is configured to use a static IP address instead of DHCP, see the "Configuring a Static IP Address for Networks That Do Not Use DHCP" section.
Step 9 Enter the required information at the login screen.
The Cisco TelePresence Administrator window appears.
Step 10 Verify that the status of the Cisco Unified Communications Manager (seen in the lower left portion of the window) is Enabled/Up.
Step 11 Make sure that the new codec is running Cisco TelePresence Administration Software version 1.9.0.1 or later.
Note The replacement codec may ship with a CTS Administrative Software release earlier than 1.9.0.1. In that case, you must upgrade the CTS Administrative Software to Release 1.9.0.1. See the "Upgrading CTS Codec Firmware" section in the Cisco TelePresence System Administration Guide for instructions on upgrading CTS Administrative Software.
Step 12 Navigate to Troubleshooting > Hardware Setup to verify that the cameras, displays, speakers, and microphones are working properly.
Step 13 Select the correct table type, size, and distance by completing the following steps:
a. Navigate to Troubleshooting > Hardware Setup > Table Configuration.
b. Click Start to display the Table Configuration options.
c. Under Table Shape, select the correct table shape.
d. Under Table Size, select the correct table size.
e. Under Table Distance, select the correct distance between the bezel of the system and the rear edge of the table
Step 14 Perform the Auto Adjust camera setup procedure. This sets the white balance to the correct levels. See the "Setting Up the Cameras" section in Chapter 4 "First-Time Setup" for detailed instructions.
Replacing the Light Control Unit—Part Number CTS-LCU-G2R=
The light control unit (LCU) controls the lighting for the CTS 1300-47. This section describes the procedure to remove and replace the LCU and contains the following topics:

The following tools are required:
•#2 phillips screwdriver
•Nut driver or wrench
Removing and Replacing the Light Control Unit
To replace the light control unit (LCU), complete the following steps:
Step 1 Remove the cabinet cover.
See Figure 3-47 for more information.
Step 2 Power off the system by turning the power switch on the PDU inside the cabinet to the "OFF" position.
The switch is located in the right side of the cabinet.
Step 3 Disconnect the LCU cables.
Step 4 The LCU is attached to the cabinet by two posts, one at the top of the LCU, and one at the bottom. The LCU is secured to these posts by nuts. Remove the two nuts and pull the LCU off of the two posts.

Step 5 Install the replacement LCU onto the two posts, and secure with the nuts.
Step 6 Reconnect the LCU cables.
Step 7 Power on the system by turning the power switch on the PDU inside the cabinet to the "ON" position.
Step 8 Replace the cabinet cover.
Replacing the Audio/Video Extension Unit—Part Number CTS-LAEB-G2R=
This section describes the procedure to remove and replace the audio/video extension unit and contains the following topics:

The following tools are required:
•#2 phillips screwdriver
•Nut driver or wrench
Removing and Replacing the Audio/Video Extension Unit
To replace the audio/video extension unit, complete the following steps:
Step 1 Remove the cabinet cover.
See Figure 3-47 for more information.
Step 2 Power off the system by turning the power switch on the PDU inside the cabinet to the "OFF" position.
The switch is located in the right side of the cabinet.
Step 3 Disconnect the audio/video extension unit cables.
Step 4 The audio/video extension unit is attached to the cabinet by four posts, two at the top of the audio/video extension unit, and two at the bottom. The audio/video extension unit is secured to these posts by nuts. Remove the four nuts and pull the audio/video extension unit off of the four posts.

Step 5 Install the replacement audio/video extension unit onto the four posts, and secure with the nuts.
Step 6 Reconnect the audio/video extension unit cables.
Step 7 Power on the system by turning the power switch on the PDU inside the cabinet to the "ON" position.
Step 8 Replace the cabinet cover.
Step 9 Ensure that the replacement audio/video extension unit is running the same software version as the system by performing the following steps:
a. From a remote system, use SSH to connect securely to the CTS. In your SSH client, enter the following:
Where adminname specifies the Administrator ID and hostname specifies the hostname that was defined during installation. For example, ssh admin@ipt-1.
b. Enter your administrator ID. The system prompts you for a password.
c. Enter your password. The CLI prompt displays. The prompt represents the Administrator ID. For example:
d. Enter the following CLI command:
The system will upgrade the software image on the replacement audio/video extension unit to the version running on the system.
Replacing a Light Fixture—Part Number CTS-TX-LTFX-LED5= (Top or Bottom) or CTS-TX-LTFX-LED3H= (Side)
This procedure describes the procedure you perform to replace the light structure and includes the following sections:

Removing and Replacing a Light Fixture
Step 1 Remove the cabinet cover.
See Figure 3-47 for more information.
Step 2 Power off the system by turning the power switch on the PDU inside the cabinet to the "OFF" position.
The switch is located in the right side of the cabinet.
Step 3 Remove the speaker cover.
See Figure 3-39 for more information.
Step 4 Remove the camera:
a. Disconnect the camera cables at the camera processor by pressing on the connectors and pulling them out.
b. Loosen the three hex screws securing the camera in place.
c. Slide the camera forward until the slots in the metal camera bracket disengages from the grooves in the TX1310 65 assembly.

Step 5 Remove the clips that attach the posts on the bezel to the display assembly, then remove the bezel.

Step 6 Remove the display:
a. Using two people, lift the display, removing the mounting buttons from the keyhole slots in the mounting plate. off of the display hooks.
b. Disconnect the power and signal cables from the display.

Step 7 Remove the LED light:
a. Remove two screws from each brackets that secures the LED light to the light reflector. There are two brackets securing each side LED light, two brackets securing the bottom LED light, and three brackets securing the top LED light.
b. Disconnect the LED light cable.
c. Remove the LED light. The side LED lights slide up and out of the brackets. The top and bottom lights lift out of the brackets.

Step 8 Replace the LED light.
Step 9 Connect the light cable to the replacement LED light.
Step 10 Replace the display.
Step 11 Replace the bezel.
Step 12 Replace the camera.
Step 13 Attach the three camera cables to the camera processor. See Table 5-3 for information about which connector to attach each camera cable.

To remove and replace a speaker, perform the following actions:
Step 1 Remove the cabinet cover.

The switch is located in the right side of the cabinet.
Step 3 Remove the speaker cover.

Step 4 Disconnect the two cables connected to the speaker.
Step 5 Remove the four screws securing the speaker.
Step 6 Remove the speaker.

Replacing the Microphone Array—Part Number CTS1300-47MICARR=
This section describes the steps you take to remove and replace the microphone array and contains the following topics:

Removing and Replacing the Microphone Array
To remove and replace the microphone array, perform the following actions:
Step 1 Remove the cabinet cover.
See Figure 3-47 for more information.
Step 2 Power off the system by turning the power switch on the PDU inside the cabinet to the "OFF" position.
The switch is located in the right side of the cabinet.
Step 3 Remove the speaker cover.
See Figure 3-39 for more information.
Step 4 Disconnect the microphone array cable that is connected to the speaker cover.
Step 5 Reconnect microphone array cable to the replacement speaker cover.
Step 6 Replace the speaker cover.
Step 7 Power on the system by turning the power switch on the PDU inside the cabinet to the "ON" position.
Step 8 Replace the cabinet cover.
Step 9 Ensure that the replacement microphone array board, which is on the replacement speaker cover, is running the same software version as the system by performing the following steps:
a. From a remote system, use SSH to connect securely to the CTS. In your SSH client, enter the following:

Removing and Replacing the PDU
To remove the existing PDU and replace it with a new PDU, perform the following actions:
Step 1 Remove the cabinet cover.
See Figure 3-47 for more information.
Step 2 Power off the system by turning the power switch on the PDU inside the cabinet to the "OFF" position.
The switch is located in the right side of the cabinet.
Step 3 Disconnect all cables from the PDU.
Step 4 Remove two screws securing the PDU to the cabinet, one at the top of the PDU and one at the bottom.
Step 5 Remove the PDU.

Step 6 Replace the PDU and secure with two screws.
Step 7 Reconnect all cables to the replacement PDU.
Step 8 Turn on the power to the system.
Step 9 Power on the system by turning the power switch on the PDU inside the cabinet to the "ON" position.
Step 10 Replace the cabinet cover.
