This document provides a solution on how to install Cisco Unity when
the license file wizard fails in the initial stages of the Cisco Unity upgrade
from version 4.x to 5.x.
Note: If the Cisco Unity system is configured for failover, you need to
install the license files only on the primary server.
Cisco recommends that you have knowledge of Cisco Unity.
The information in this document is based on Cisco Unity 4.x.
The information in this document was created from the devices in a
specific lab environment. All of the devices used in this document started with
a cleared (default) configuration. If your network is live, make sure that you
understand the potential impact of any command.

When running the Cisco Unity Installation and Configuration Assistant
(CUICA), the second step, Install a Cisco Unity upgrade
