Background

These features have been removed from all Cisco 2600 and 3600 Series images in order to make room for new features in Cisco IOS Software Release 12.2(2)XT. This is done to ensure that most Cisco IOS software feature sets will continue to run withinin the memory limitations of the platforms. For the Cisco 2600 Series, Cisco IOS software feature sets may exceed the maximum flash or random access memory (RAM) available in some models.
