Problem Description

Cisco Nexus N9K-X9716D-GX V05 does not boot and will go into Power Down state.

The following standalone Cisco NX-OS Software releases are affected:

10.1(1)
10.1(2)
10.2(1)

Background

Component changes in Cisco Nexus N9K-X9716D-GX will require all customers to upgrade to minimum supported software releases.

Problem Symptom

The following syslog will be seen for the affected module that are running affected releases of Cisco NX-OS Software in standalone mode:

%MODULE-2-MOD_DIAG_FAIL: Module X (Serial number: FOCXXXXXXXX) reported failure due to Driver SSE call failed in device DEV_LINECARD (device error 0x0)

Workaround/Solution

Solution

Upgrade Cisco NX-OS to 10.2(2) or later.

How to Identify Affected Products

Cisco NX-OS Software in standalone mode
