End-of-Sale and End-of-Life Announcement for the Cisco AS5400XM and AS5350XM Media Gateway Universal Port Bundles

Cisco announces the end-of-sale and end-of life dates for the Cisco® AS5400XM and AS5350XM Media Gateway Universal Port Bundles. The last day to order the affected product(s) is March 31, 2010. Customers with active service contracts will continue to receive support from the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) as shown in Table 1 of the EoL bulletin. Table 1 describes the end-of-life milestones, definitions, and dates for the affected product(s). Table 2 lists the product part numbers affected by this announcement. For customers with active and paid service and support contracts, support will be available until the termination date of the contract, even if this date exceeds the Last Date of Support shown in Table 1.

The replacement products for the universal port DSP feature card options and bundles for the Cisco AS5400XM and AS5350XM Media Gateways are the high-density packet voice/fax digital signal processor (DSP) feature cards and bundles, as described in the migration table below (Table 2). The Cisco AS5400XM and AS5350XM Series support packet voice (VoIP) and fax applications with Cisco IOS Software Release 12.4T. This end-of-sale has no effect on the availability of the Cisco AS5400XM and AS5350XM Series bundles for high-density packet voice (VoIP) and fax applications. Note that these bundles do not support remote access (dial) applications.
Cisco continues to sell Cisco AS5400XM and Cisco AS5350XM high-density packet voice and fax bundles through these product numbers: AS535XM-2E1-V-HC, AS535XM-2T1-V-HC, AS54XM-4E1-V-MC, AS54XM-4T1-V-MC, AS54XM-8E1-V-MC, AS54XM-8T1-V-MC, AS54XM-16E1-V-MC, AS54XM-16E1-V-HC, AS54XM-20E1-V-LC, AS54XM-20E1-V-MC, AS54XM-16T1-V-LC, AS54XM-16T1-V-MC, AS54XM-16T1-V-HC, AS54XM-CT3-V-LC, AS54XM-CT3-V-MC, AS54XM-CT3-V-HC, AS535XM-2E1-V-HC, AS535XM-2T1-V-HC, AS535XM-4E1-V-HC, AS535XM-4T1-V-HC, AS535XM-8E1-V-HC, AS535XM-8T1-V-HC, AS535XM-12E1-V-LC, AS535XM-16T1-V-LC, and AS535XM-CT3-V-LC.

In addition to the recommended replacement products, customers may choose from three additional high-density bundles: AS535XM-12E1-V-LC, AS535XM-16T1-V-LC, and AS535XM-CT3-V-LC. Product Migration Options

Customers are encouraged to migrate to the Cisco AS5400XM and AS5350XM high-density packet voice and fax applications. Information about this product can be found at: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/iad/index.html.
Customers can use the Cisco Technology Migration Program (TMP) to trade-in products and receive credit toward the purchase of new Cisco equipment. For more information about Cisco TMP, customers should work with their Cisco Partner or Cisco account team. Customers may be able to continue to purchase the Cisco AS5400XM and AS5350XM Media Gateway Universal Port Bundles through the Cisco Certified Refurbished Equipment program. Refurbished units may be available in limited supply for sale in certain countries on a first-come, first-served basis until the Last Date of Support has been reached.
