installation instructions for Unified CCE 12.5(1) ES55. It also contains a list
of Unified CCE issues resolved by this engineering special. Review all
installation information before installing the product. Failure to install this
engineering special as described can result in inconsistent Unified CCE
behavior.

In 12.5(1), after the
initial release, CCE transitioned from Oracle to OpenJDK for the Java runtime
environment. Newer installs and upgrades with 12.5(1a) base installer run with
OpenJDK JRE while the older installs and upgrades with 12.5(1) base run with
Oracle JRE. This engineering special enables 12.5(1) systems to transition to
OpenJDK and is a mandatory prerequisite for receiving further maintenance
patches on CCE.
Although 12.5(1a) installer
lays down OpenJDK JRE for CCE applications, prior engineering specials than
ES55 that contain Java deliverable files as a fix, may not work as expected.
ES55 bundles all those Java file related fixes and can be installed directly.
If you are evaluating the fixes delivered in one or more of the following ES',
install ES55 as an alternative - ES4, ES5, ES7, ES12, ES21, ES22, ES25, ES30,
ES33, ES39, ES43, ES50, and ES51.
In addition to enabling CCE
Java applications to employ OpenJDK, the following functionality that was
delivered in ES30 and ES50 respectively, are also included in this engineering
special:
· Support for
Edge Chromium browser (Microsoft Edge v79 and later) that was delivered as part
of ES30.
· Support for
higher number of configured Agents for HCS 24000 Agents deployment that was
delivered as part of ES50
This section lists the
Unified CCE components on which you can and cannot install this engineering
special.
oStep 1:
In <ICM HOME>\tomcat\conf\server.xml make sure the entry
for <Connector> entry for APJ protocol is as below
<Connector port="8009" protocol="AJP/1.3"
redirectPort="8443" address="127.0.0.1"
maxPostSize="5242880" secretRequired="false"
allowedRequestAttributesPattern=".*" />
If the highlighted entry is missing, then add the entry in server.xml
oStep 2:
§
Download the 32-bit
tomcat installer zip from http://archive.apache.org/dist/tomcat/tomcat-9/
. Download the same version that is displayed when version.bat was run.
§
Unzip the installer to a
temp folder
§
Copy
tomcat-util-scan.jar from the <temp>\apache-tomcat-9.0.xx\lib
location to <ICM HOME>\tomcat\lib
§
Using the ICM/CCE
Service Control, start Apache Tomcat 9 service.
Just like any other Java upgrade on CCE
servers, certificates may have to be re-imported if one is upgrading from a
previous CCE version, that relied on Oracle JRE. Please refer to the
Installation and Upgrade guide for more details.
Note: Remove patches in the reverse order
of their installation. For example, if you installed patches 3, then 5, then 10
for a product, you must uninstall patches 10, 5, and 3, in that order, to
remove the patches from that product.
Certificates may have to be re-imported if
one is downgrading to a previous CCE version, that relied on Oracle JRE. Please
refer to the Installation and Upgrade guide for more details.
