Challenge
Our Austin workplaces, once fit for purpose, had fallen out of alignment with the demands of modern work. It became clear that a refresh was needed to address growing challenges, such as:
- Suboptimal employee experiences: Outdated technology and environments created friction, hindering employee satisfaction and productivity while offering little incentive for teams to engage in the office.
- Lack of actionable data insights: Without granular data on space utilisation and employee preferences, strategic optimisation of our office space was very difficult. Preventing us from truly enhancing collaboration, productivity and efficiency.
- Inefficient space utilisation: Under-utilised areas contributed to unnecessary capital expenditures and spend on property. Because of the lack of data, we were failing to maximise the return on investment for our physical office footprint.
- Sustainability challenges: Manual controls for lighting, blinds and HVAC systems proved inefficient and costly. This fell short of our corporate sustainability objectives and led to higher energy consumption.
