Cisco Hosted Collaboration Solution Version 10.0

Improve Cost Efficiency and Expand Services

The Cisco Hosted Collaboration Solution (HCS) is helping Cisco partners promote simplicity and lower costs, offer more applications as new and differentiated cloud services, and attract additional midsize customers.

Features and Capabilities

Expanded Cloud Services

Simplify and Expand Any-to-Any Collaboration
Teleworkers and mobile workers can now access HCS-based services over the Internet (OTT) without VPN. This is possible through capabilities provided by Cisco Unified Border Element and Cisco Expressway. Midsize organizations can also use the OTT capabilities to access HCS-based services without needing an MPLS infrastructure in place.

Cisco Expressway provides standards-based video interoperability: H.323, H.264SVC to AVC interworking, including with Microsoft Lync 2013.It also helps enable business-to-business (B2B) collaboration over the Internet.

Enhanced Collaboration Applications

Voicemail for Midsize Businesses
Cisco Unity Connection can now be logically segregated to support multiple customers on a single instance. This helps the solution scale up to 12 times more customers on the same hardware, making it more cost efficient for Cisco HCS partners and accessible to midsize customers.

Contact Center Enhancements
Cisco Hosted Collaboration Solution for Contact Center customers can now record, play, stream, and store media, including audio and video, with Cisco MediaSense.
Contact centers with 20-100 agents can now be supported by enabling multiple customers to securely reside in one instance. Now supports worldwide deployments with agents located anywhere allowing international calls from centralized data centers.

Fixed Mobile Convergence
Fixed Mobile Convergence (FMC) for clientless mobile devices is now possible for wireless networks without intelligent network (IN). Features include flexible and separate policy and routing for business and personal calls, as well as mobile business call accounting.

HCS FMC capabilities complement Cisco Jabber for client-based mobile devices and also requires integration with the service provider mobile network.
