本文档介绍自动升级功能如何用于思科应用策略基础设施控制器(APIC)。
在现有流程中,无论何时通过退货许可(RMA)收到新的APIC还是新采购的APIC,都必须运行与ACI交换矩阵中相同的APIC版本才能加入集群。这要求先升级新的APIC以匹配现有集群的版本,然后再将其添加到交换矩阵,这需要花费大量时间并需要手动操作。
当您需要此功能时,有两个使用案例。
为了简化流程并使其即插即用,从ACI版本6.0(2)和后续版本开始引入了APIC自动升级功能。
通过替换或添加将新的APIC引入交换矩阵时,APIC软件必须与集群上运行的软件相匹配。这通常需要升级,升级过程需要花费额外的时间才能完成,APIC需要花费额外的时间才能加入交换矩阵
这是一项自动功能,不需要任何配置。
在此拓扑中,您有三个运行ACI版本6.0(5h)的APIC,而APIC3发生故障并需要更换。

收到RMA APIC后,请配置思科集成管理控制器(CIMC)IP以匹配之前的CIMC地址。
步骤1.登录到CIMC GUI。
步骤2.通过键盘、视频和鼠标KVM访问APIC。
导航到Launch vKVM > Click on it > One more window tab is going to open > Click on hyperlink

步骤3.初始化新APIC以检查其运行的APIC版本(您可以使用任何虚拟交换矩阵发现参数,如交换矩阵名称、交换矩阵ID、TEP池等)
步骤4.初始化新APIC后,检查版本(您可以看到现有APIC版本为5.2.5c)

步骤8.从APIC01 GUI停用有故障的APIC3
导航到System > System Settings > Controllers > Cluster as Seen by Node

单击设备右侧的三个点。点击“停用”

步骤9.验证节点的管理员状态,显示为“停止服务”,停用选项呈灰色显示。

步骤10.从机架中移除有故障的APIC3,然后在机架中安装新的APIC3。
步骤11.在机架中安装新APIC后,打开新APIC3的电源并连接电缆。电缆包括交换矩阵上行链路和管理端口。
步骤12.等待10-15分钟,以便新的APIC可以通电。通过CIMC KVM验证新的APIC是否已开启,我们可以看到登录提示。(登录仅适用于rescue-user)
步骤13.从APIC01 GUI委托APIC03。
导航到System > System Settings > Controllers > Cluster as Seen by Node
点击设备右侧的三个点>点击佣金

步骤14:添加CIMC IP地址、用户名、密码,我们在更换的故障/旧APIC中使用了这些密码。点击Validate。一旦验证成功。
输入APIC名称、管理密码(交换矩阵中使用的当前密码)、POD ID、带外管理地址和IPV4网关,然后点击Apply。(所有这些参数在更换时都属于旧的APIC)。

步骤15.现在等待10-15分钟,以便使用5.2(5c)APIC版本将新APIC添加到交换矩阵。
