New and Changed Requirements and Support
These requirements and support constraints are new or have changed for release 10.5(1).
New and Changed Functionality for Release 10.5(1)
New Functionality
These functionalities are added to MediaSense 10.5(1).
MediaSense generates multiple sessions for a call being recorded in case of hold/resume, or transfer. Call Association functionality groups all the strongly associated sessions of the call together. You can view, play, and download all the strongly associated sessions, which have at least one common xRefci value, in the MediaSense Search and Play application.
For more information about call association, see the MediaSense Design Guide at http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/customer-collaboration/mediasense/products-implementation-design-guides-list.html.
Archival enables archiving of multiple audio recordings, video recordings, and video greetings to an offline location. You can specify the archive configuration settings on the MediaSense Archive Configuration window, before the recordings get deleted from MediaSense.
For more information about archival, see the MediaSense User Guide at http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/customer-collaboration/mediasense/products-user-guide-list.html .
With Unified Communications Manager Network-based Recording (NBR), you can use a gateway to record calls. NBR allows Unified Communications Manager to route recording calls, regardless of device, location, or geography. MediaSense 10.5(1) supports Unified Communications Manager NBR for IP to IP media forking using a Unified Border Element.
For more information about Unified Communications Manager NBR, see the MediaSense Design Guide at http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps11389/products_implementation_design_guides_list.html.
Changed Functionality
These functionalities changed in release 10.5(1).
With MediaSense 10.5(1), there are two more options to choose from the Action drop-down list on the Add Incoming Call Rule or Edit Incoming Call Rule windows. The options are:
For more information, see the MediaSense User Guide at http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps11389/products_user_guide_list.html.
By default, MediaSense 10.5 will record only audio of the recordings even if the recordings have video until you choose the Record Audio and Video option from the Action drop-down list on the Add Incoming Call Rule or Edit Incoming Call Rule windows.
Upgrade Considerations
Supported MediaSense Upgrades
For upgrading MediaSense directly from release 9.1(1) to 10.5(1), you need to first install the COP file, mcp-rsa3-key-preupgrade_9.1.cop.sgn, available at http://software.cisco.com/download/release.html?mdfid=283613140&softwareid=284140547&release=10.5(1)&relind=AVAILABLE&rellifecycle=&reltype=latest. Systems running on an earlier release of MediaSense must first upgrade to release 9.1(1) before upgrading to release 10.5(1).
For Mediasense upgrade from release 10.0(1) to 10.5(1), you do not need to install the COP file.
For information on performing the upgrade to release 10.5(1), see the Upgrade section of the MediaSense User Guide available at http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/customer-collaboration/mediasense/products-user-guide-list.html .

Caveats
Open defects are those that Cisco plans to fix in a future product release, resolved defects are those that have been fixed since the last release, and closed defects have been closed without resolution in the current release.
Open Defects
The defects listed in the following table are open in Release 10.5(1). Consult the release note enclosure for each defect for more information about possible workaround and explanations.
Defect ID Severity Description Moderate
Procedure for Server IP Address Changes does not work in case nodes are added to a cluster defined by IP address.
Moderate
When a user enters numerous values in the Search Recording by Participants or Tags search box to search for multiple participants or tags in the MediaSense Search and Play window, it displays an error message,
The server failed to fulfill an apparently valid search request.
Moderate
Recordings appear out of sync when MediaSense recordings are downloaded from NICE with the Exportraw API.
Minor
Errors recorded for AddOrUpdateConfigHttpHandler on GetInfo pages.
Moderate
The file system gets corrupted when the uploaded media partition is extended with a hard disk of more than 500GB.
Resolved Defects
The defects listed in the following table were resolved in this release.
Defect ID Severity Description Severe
When you search for multiple participants or tags in the Search Recording by Participants or Tags search box, MediaSense gets an internal exception and displays no data or timed out error.
Severe
If one of the two entries listed as AXL providers gets shutdown, AXL failover does not work and authentication request to MediaSense fails.
Severe
On the MediaSense Prune Policy Configuration window, uncheck the Automatically prune recordings after they are more than # days old, and when disk space is needed for new recordings (1) check box. However, pruning of sessions continues to occur.
Severe
Upgrade to MediaSense 10.5 fails when there are more than 2.5 million recording sessions in the MediaSense 10.0 database.
Moderate
Conversion of a recording session to mp4 fails intermittently.
Minor
First time the Media Player is used on a client's desktop, the Media Player appears on the window, however, the slider and other content fails to appear, and the recording is not played.
Enhancement
Media Player should support 64-bit Java on Windows.
Cosmetic
When the show db_synchronization status CLI command is executed for either the config or meta database on the primary MediaSense server, the server pauses and returns only blank lines. However, it should display an error message,
This command should be run only on the secondary MediaSense server.
Severe
When downloading media files from the ''Search and Play'' interface of Cisco MediaSense, the files are transferred over a non-secure communication channel.
Severe
MediaSense Search and Play have several hundred recordings. While sorting these recordings from shortest to longest, the first hundred calls are showing fine from shortest to longest, however, after the 100th record, al the records are in random order.
Severe
MediaSense Search and Play application freezes when there is one way audio issue in the original call.
Severe
In MediaSense, utilizing the "httpurl" parameter, it is possible to build a GET request that would download and run malicious content from another server.
