Backup files enable you to restore the Cisco Nexus Fabric Manager at a later time. This chapter explains how to download the tech support and backup files and how to upload backup files to restore the Cisco Nexus Fabric Manager. It has the following sections:
Downloading Tech Support Files
Note | All user and switch passwords are encrypted and cannot be decrypted by Cisco. The decryption keys are not included in the tech support files. |
Downloading Backup Files
Backup files can be downloaded to fully restore the Cisco Nexus Fabric Manager at a later time. This section explains how to download the backup files.
Uploading Backup Files
Backup files can be uploaded to fully restore the Cisco Nexus Fabric Manager. This section explains how to upload the backup files.
Note | Uploading backup files will restore the Cisco Nexus Fabric Manager database, management IP addresses, and credentials to the values stored in the backup. Restoring these values could also result in switch configuration changes. |
