Virtualization details below specify the supported third-party software (such as VMware and Nutanix) and its versions. Support for these software versions and their interoperability depends on the release cycles (patches and upgrades) of the third-party software. For example, support for ESXi depends on VMware release cycles.

Notes

Common for Nutanix and VMware

  • The VM configuration requirements in the table apply to both VMware and Nutanix deployments.
  • The VM configurations apply to Release 15.0(1) and all subsequent 15.0(1) SU and ES updates.
  • For notes applicable to both VMware and Nutanix, including the OVA download links, see Notes on Unified CCE Release 15.0(1) VM Configurations and IOPS.

  • If no deployment type is explicitly mentioned in a row, it indicates that the VM configuration requirement applies to all deployment types. For example, the VM configuration requirements for a medium PG apply to all deployment types.

  • "Rogger" denotes the combined Router and Logger services that operate within the same VM in 2000 Agent and 4000 Agent deployments. In contrast, for 12000 Agents or larger deployments, Router and Logger services are hosted on separate dedicated VMs.

  • Some CCE components, like Rogger, Logger, and Administration DataServers, require an additional virtual disk (indicated with an asterisk in the table above). This disk is essential to accomodate the database drive and is not provisioned automatically by the OVA template.

    For more information on the minimum disk size, see the Allocate a Second Virtual Hard Drive topic in the Preinstallation chapter of the Cisco Unified Contact Center Enterprise Installation and Upgrade Guide, Release 15.0(1). You can custom size the SQL database disk drive space to meet data retention requirements, as calculated by the Database Estimator tool.

VMware

  • Supported versions of VMware vSphere ESXi: ESXi 7.0U1 and later, and ESXi 8.0U1 (inclusive of all updates, for all versions).
  • The 15.0(1) VMware OVA is supported for 15.0(1) and all subsequent 15.0 SU updates.

  • Version refers to the major ESXi release (for example, 7.0 or 8.0), while updates are incremental changes to these major ESXi versions (for example, 8.0U1 or 8.0U1a). The specified version or update indicates the minimum supported version or update required for that release. For more information, see Required ESXi version.

    If a base ESXi version is listed as supported, all subsequent major update releases, minor point releases, and corresponding patch levels are also supported unless explicitly stated otherwise. For example, if "ESXi 8.0U1 (inclusive of all updates, for all versions)" is listed, ESXi 8.0U1, 8.0U1a, 8.0U2, 8.0U2c, and 8.0U3 are also supported unless a specific exclusion is noted.

Nutanix

  • Dedicated Nutanix-specific OVA files are available for CCE components. The resource requirements are the same as the standard 15.0(1) VMware OVAs shown in the table.
  • Because Nutanix does not support multiple deployment options within a single OVA file, the existing multi-option OVAs are provided as separate OVA files for Nutanix deployments.
