Compact switches for smaller businesses

Deliver better network experience to customers and employees while simplifying operations with Cisco® Catalyst® 2960-L and 2960-L Smart Managed switches. These are entry-level, fixed-configuration, Gigabit Ethernet switches that provide enterprise-class Layer 2 access for branch offices, conventional workspaces, and out-of-wiring-closet applications.

Cisco Catalyst 2960-L and 2960-L Smart Managed switches pack Power over Ethernet Plus (PoE+) and basic Layer 2 features into a slim and fanless body, bringing flexibility and reducing cables for places such as retail outlets, hotels, schools, and small offices that have confined space or out-of-wiring-closet requirements.

Offerings such as PoE provide data and power for Point-Of-Sale (POS) machines, phones, and video displays, as well as other devices. 802.1X authentication increases the security of wireless access points.

The Cisco Catalyst 2960-L fixed managed switches provide a richer feature set, with more advanced functions such as multicast, sFlow, and AutoQoS. The Cisco Catalyst 2960-L Smart Managed switches provide the same reliability and speed at a lower cost, with configuration and management via a simple, on-premises web-based interface.
