It is important to always know how you are performing—if you are meeting your own goals and if you are meeting your customer’s needs. To determine if you are performing at the desired levels, there are several metrics you can look at to measure your performance. The first metric that is tracked is Attach Rate (AR). Attach Rate measures your ability to sell service coverage for each piece of hardware sold. Ideally you should sell service coverage on all Cisco hardware sold. For example, for all Cisco hardware sold, if you have $150,000 in service opportunity available, this is equivalent to 100% Attach Rate based on the overall service opportunity. If you only sell services on $75,000 of $150,000 worth of opportunity for service coverage on Cisco hardware sold, that results in a 50% AR.
