What Is Software Support?

Depending on the service offering that your customers purchased, this support can apply to:

  • The Cisco Operating System Software running on a customer’s device and/or network (supported by the Cisco SMARTnet and SMARTnet Onsite programs)
  • Cisco software applications a customer may be using on their network (supported by SAS and SASU)

NOTE: The term “update” is defined as a Maintenance Release, Minor Release and/or Major Release, which contains the same configuration as originally acquired.
