SAFE is a flexible, dynamic security blueprint for networks based on the Cisco Architecture for Voice, Video, and Integrated Data (AVVID) that enables businesses to safely and successfully take advantage of e-business and compete in the Internet economy. The first industry blueprint that addresses the entire enterprise, SAFE determines which security solutions should be included and deployed throughout a network. Via uniquely designed "modules," this framework handles the distinct requirements of each network area and eliminates the need for security managers to redesign their security architectures each time a new service is added.
